What the states received
₹13,92,971 crore was devolved to the states in 2025–26 as their constitutional share of union tax collections, at the 41% rate the Fifteenth Finance Commission sets. It is deducted from receipts before the union spends anything, so it is not part of union spending and cannot be added to it.
